About Me:Growing up in New York, as a much younger child of older parents and siblings, I became an independent, skeptical thinker. Repelled by team activities and group-think, I started mountaineering at 13, was climbing in the French Alp at 16, and on my first Alaskan expedition at 17.
After working for NASA as an undergrad in California, and getting a PhD in quantum physics in Texas, I started a small business software development firm that created custom software for middle-size businesses. For 20 years, I wrote, documented, patented, trained, supported, and offered consulting for enterprise-wide automation.
During this time, I visited and lived in indigenous cultures in the jungles of Ecuador, the islands of the Caribbean, and the deserts of Mongolia. These explorations led to religious, psychedelic, and altered state experiences in these cultures, learning about, taking, and making psychedelic mixtures of salvia, mescaline, psilocybin, and ayahuasca.
Using my computer background, I began exploring psychology and brain science. I apprenticed with three neurofeedback therapists, offered brain training at free clinics and for hire, and published in trade and academic journals on neuropsychology. Going more deeply, I gained certifications first as a hypnotherapist and then as a clinical counselor.
I have two ex-partners and two sons. I live with one son and a cat in British Columbia, while my other son lives with his mother in New York. I would love to bring the family together again.
Description of Services:I'm now in private practice focusing on trauma, emotions, chronic medical issues, relationships, and performance enhancement. I work with ego, dreams, hypnosis, psychedelics, and body awareness. My clients range from borderline disordered to boardroom enabled. I take my clients from psychotherapy to entrepreneurship, or the other way around!
I have a hands-on therapeutic approach that works to integrate dark and light, using regression and visualization to reframe trauma and depression. Rhythm, memory, and self-awareness are key tools. I use hypnodelics to train a person in altered state experiences before using state-altering substances. When it becomes legal, I will play a more shamanic and integrated role in facilitating ceremony.
Working remotely allows me to reach people across the globe, from hypnobirthing in Shanghai, to sleep training in Delhi, to business coaching in New York, to abusive relationships and trauma resolution in Australia and the Northwest Territories
